Answer:

This article explains how to create a new email account (such as info@yourdomain.com

) using Plesk on GHFS Hosting.

1. Where to Create Email Accounts in Plesk

All email accounts are managed through the Plesk control panel.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your Plesk control panel

  2. Go to Mail in the left or top menu

  3. Click Create Email Address

  4. Enter the desired email address (example: info)

  5. Choose the domain you want to use

  6. Set a strong password

  7. Configure optional settings (quota, forwarding, anti-spam, etc.)

  8. Click OK to create the mailbox

Your new email account is now active.

2. Mailbox Settings You Can Configure

While creating or editing an email account, you can configure:

  • Mailbox size limit

  • Email forwarding

  • Auto-reply (vacation message)

  • Spam filtering settings

  • External email routing (if required)

These can be updated at any time from the Mail section.

3. How to Access Your New Email Account

You can access your email in two ways:

3.1. Webmail Access

  1. Visit your webmail URL (for example: webmail.yourdomain.com)

  2. Log in with your email address and password

3.2. Using an Email App (Outlook, iPhone, Gmail App)

Use the following general settings:

Incoming Mail (IMAP):

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com

  • Port: 143 or 993 (SSL)

Outgoing Mail (SMTP):

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com

  • Port: 25, 587, or 465 (SSL)

Authentication is required for both IMAP and SMTP.

4. DNS Requirements for Email

If your domain uses GHFS Hosting nameservers, no DNS changes are required.

If you use external DNS, make sure you have:

  • MX records pointing to your mail server

  • SPF, DKIM, and DMARC (recommended for spam protection)

Missing MX or incorrect DNS will prevent emails from working.

5. When to Contact GHFS Hosting Support

Contact support if:

  • You cannot create a new mailbox

  • The Mail tab does not appear in Plesk

  • Emails are not sending or receiving

  • DNS records are incorrect

  • You need help setting up Outlook or another mail client

Support can help configure and troubleshoot your email service.
